One of the best things about living in Seattle is its park system. Even though we live in suburbia, it's possible to escape to the woods every day and forget we even live in an urban environment.

My favorite hour of every day is spent roaming the woods with Charlee the basset hound and Zach the husky-lab. I'm willing to bet it's the dogs' favorite hour of every day too, judging from the way they go completely nuts and dance in circles, leaping in the air, basset ears flying, whenever I utter the "P"-word.
