![]() Friends in low places - 14 of 20Here's a great story from Kim Bruck, President of Arizona Basset Hound Rescue (AZBHR). These dear little puppies (left) were purchased at auction from a puppy mill going out of business by someone with a kind and loving heart -- and brought to AZBHR for fostering and adoption. Why would someone buy the dogs at the auction and give to rescue? If the dogs are bought by other puppy mills they will live a life of misery, breeding over and over and over. They have no medical care, are kept in small cages, and get no exercise. Some may never touch the grass or ground and when food is low they may be fed sawdust to keep them feeling full. If the dogs are not bought they would be drowned or shot. Robin Martin and Kim Bruck, AZBHR President arrived at the pick up location around 9pm on Saturday night to load up the BUV (Basset Utility Vehicle) with our new AZBHR rescues.
