![]() Friends in low places - 11 of 20As we sat in the ring of people around the event grounds, there was a pretty basset beside us wearing angel wings. Looking at Charlee and the other dog, there was a strong resemblance. I asked her owner, Randi, how old her dog was. The answer was the same as Charlee - about a year old. I asked Randi when her birthday was -- and it was the same day. I asked Randi where she found her dog -- and it turned out that Randi's dog Sweet Pea came from the same breeder, Carolyn D. from Vancouver, WA. In fact, Sweet Pea was Charlee's sister, born in the same litter! What a surprise that we should have accidentally encountered one another! Was I imagining it, or was there perhaps a hint of recognition between them? |
